BE CURIOUS...

Image
The untapped unadulterated human mind has always been an innate rebel of bondages imposed over it. The human mind has this inborn intolerance towards being denied of freedom, being denied of opportunity, being denied of equality, etc.  Since the very beginning of our lives we start struggling to break the barriers imposed on us. A small child trips over his crib trying to break his limited reach. Does the exactly opposite of what is denied. Reaches out to grab and confiscate the forbidden things. All this, just to satiate the innate need for exploration and to break barriers that limit his reach. Human mind is a slave to none other than curiosity. Curiosity has the power to drive us to great heights or plunge us into the darkest of trenches. Tapping this immense power of the mind and channelizing it towards our growth is what can lead us to achieve great heights in our lives. The key ingredient for this is a balanced approach of the calm mind. Only the ones who are able to f...

Nurturing ones inner-self

Curiosity and contentment are the two most fundamental aspects of ones mind and conscience. The human mind can't be devoid of either of the two. Curiosity followed by contentment and the repetitive cycle of these two is what keeps the human mind running and the human aspirations fueled. A balanced approach between these two is of utmost importance to keep your true nature alive. In order to be balanced with nature, we first need to resolve the conflict between our curious self and the content self. Curiosity is what adds glitter and excitement to life. It may be curiosity towards ourselves, towards our surroundings, towards success in life or towards what lies on the other side of the fence that our life has offered to us. This curiosity is what fuels our desire for success. The element of curiosity in our mind fuels our aspirations and desires. On the other hand contentment is what keeps us grounded and gives peace to our soul. Irrespective of the curiosity factor, the con...

It goes without saying,  "Karma is a bitch." Ashlekha sighed. Hoping for a miracle to save her from this situation which had risen out of no concern of her. But was somehow blamed on her doings by the higher ups in the company. Talking to herself Ashlekha said,"I know it is the doing of one of those two self appreciating guys who would have taken all pains to sow the seeds of contempt against me." Ashlekha was a genuine and straight forward person, but what put her into many awkward situations was her blunt behavior. She always had a combination of hard work and smart work to put her through situations. She was a dedicated worker with high morals. At this moment what was eating her up within was the fact that she was unable to control a situation which had nothing to do with her initially but now had somehow been totally blamed on her. Being a diligent worker she could not take it to be called the irresponsible one. A knock on the door distracted As...

Life In Loops

"Just when you think you have got it all settled..... It's time for the wheel of time to take up an untoward twist. "                                                -Unknown We have all been witness and have experienced a point in time when every now and then we are either at the peak of joyous satisfaction or the epitome of a hopeless heartbreaking situation.  These are two vividly recognisable and memorably identifiable times that keep approaching us in our daily lives and day to day interactions. In such times our mind and heart reach upto a soulful halt in our enthusiastic self and untapped flow of our energy. These are the times that make us slow down and question the very existence of our problems and the remote possibility of finding a solution. This is actually when the plan of the divine settles or totally unsettles our immediate plan regardi...

It was 2 a.m. and like most of the days the Kapoor household was lit up again late at night. It was routine for their daughter Amaira to be woken up at odd times based on her flight schedules. Amaira was a pilot for one of the prestigious airlines. She was a dynamic and energetic girl with dreams of traveling the world. So she had already come to the decision of being a pilot in her adolescent years and was very passionate and eager to make her dream come true one day.  “Have you packed some of my special cookies too?" asked her mother.  "Mom, I'll be back in three days so don't bother. " Mrs. Kapoor walked into Amaira's room with a small box of cookies.  She began placing them in Amaira's bag as she spoke, "Share them with your co-workers. They will be finished before you know it. Moreover you can eat these when you get bored of the hotel food." Amaira glanced at her mom in silence. And turned back to pinning her bad...

It was a usual work Wednesday. But, there was much excitement to the day as Thursday and Friday had been declared as holidays and it was going to be a four day long weekend. Maria, Parin and Eva had planned a vacation in the lap of nature for which they were going to leave tonight. This was the reason for an extra gleaming smile on the faces of the three girls today at work. They had planned to go to Lansdowne; a breathtaking hill station in the beautiful state of Uttarakhand. It was going to be a 7 hour drive into the hills. Parin was specially interested in capturing the beauty en-route so the girls had planned to travel back during daytime. Eva had bargained this deal by emphasizing that this way they would reach Lansdowne all fresh and energetic and they can catch up on the scenic beauty en-route while returning. After work Maria and Parin had already reached back to their flat and had already started finalizing their luggage for the weekend. The girls had made their own ...

Rajesh had been sitting on a wheel chair in the waiting area with a painful leg after getting an X-Ray of his ankle done. He was hoping for everything to be just alright as he had an upcoming presentation today and thereafter he had to travel for an important business meet. Rajesh had hurt his ankle as he had slipped and fallen over a flight of stairs early in the morning. So, now he sat at the hospital grumbling to himself about his idea of losing weight by running up and down the stairs that had struck him three days ago. "Seema" Rajesh called out to his wife "Hmmm.." she replied while scrolling through her phone "Just a minute, let me call the maid so i can ask her to come later." Seema got up and moved to the corridor as she made the call. Leaving Rajesh once again with his thoughts. Rajesh had been implementing his idea of running up and down the stairs and the past two days had somewhat gone well for him as he had been able to achieve this ...
